Physical Capacity Profile:
The recording of a broad sampling of the many medical, strength
and fitness factors that relate to an individual's physical
capacity in order to perform the physical requirements of their
job.
Simply Stated: The Physical Capacity Profile is a 28 point
assessment of all the major muscle
and joint groups in the body. The test usually takes a half
an hour and also includes the completion of certain dynamic
tasks to further assess a person's strength/ fitness. The entire
test is standardized and the majority of the data collection
is computerized. This eliminates discrimination and speculation
when testing.
Return to Duty Testing:
Many companies find it difficult to determine when to return
an injured worker back to their job. They don't have any objective
way to assess whether an employee is ready to safely return
to their job duties. By completing a Physical Capacity Profile
they are better able to determine when an employee has regained
the physical capacity to complete their job.
Fit for Duty Testing: Assessing
an aging workforce can be a difficult task. The Physical Capacity
Profile can assist in objectively documenting various strengths
and weaknesses of specific employees. This information can be
utilized to establish individualized health and wellness programs.

An FCE is used as a reliable standardized assessment that measures
the individual's readiness to return to work following rehabilitation
and reconditioning in the aftermath of injury or illness. Reports
can be tailored to the specific criteria requested. Whether
it is a full body, upper extremity or lower extremity evaluation,
we provide a full report within 24 hours.

A digital inclinometer is used to measure flexion angles
of the back.

A progressive lifting exam helps to assess strength,
fitness and body mechanics.

Proper posture and good body mechanics are reviewed
throughout our testing procedure. It is one of the reasons
we have completed over 20,000 post-hire tests without
an injury.
